Overview

Globalization and technological variations have accelerated in tandem over the past years and have created a new global economy powered by technology and fueled by information and communications and driven by knowledge. The emergence of this new global digital economy has serious implications for the nature and purpose of educational institutions. Information and communications technologies (ICTs) have been touted as potentially powerful enabling tool for educational changes, reform and innovations. Information and communications technology play an integral enabling role to charge critical businesses of higher learning institutions.

Accordingly, ICT Directorate drives college ICT infrastructures, facilities, systems and services design, development, customization and implementation plus continual upgrading and operation management. ICT Technical support, software and hardware maintenance, IT trainings and consultancy are roles of ICT for staff and students across the region as well.

To this end, the college recognizes ICT as a powerful enabling tool for institutional change and transformation to attain its stretched strategic goals and initiatives, missions and vision.

Mission 

Our mission is to provide, coordinate, and facilitate the use of ICT in all activities of the college in order to facilitate the upcoming change.

Vision

Our vision is to exploit ICT to its full potential thereby assisting the college in elevating its position to a center of academic excellence.

Objectives

The ICT Directorate is established to meet the following objectives:

• To plan, develop and manage college-wide ICT infrastructure.

• To develop/acquire relevant applications.

• To manage operations and maintenance of ICT resources.

• To train end-users on computer literacy and offer end-user computing support.

• To promote staff development program to ensure that ICT staff continue to acquire the necessary skills to provide high-quality services and support.

• To advise and consult the college management on the acquisition of ICT resources and related issues for fast and sustainable digitization.

• To carry out researches in ICT and enhance communication. 

• To ensure Security and Infrastructure to provide and secure the necessary hardware, software, and network infrastructure for digital operations.

• To ensure Data-Driven decisions using data analytics for better strategic choices.

• To streamline operations in improving service delivery and internal management.
