The Main Job (Core Functions) of Environmental Science Department

The Environmental Science Department’s main job is to educate professionals, conduct research, and provide scientific guidance to protect the environment and promote sustainable development.

Roles / Main Job Functions

1. Teaching and Training

  • Deliver academic programs in environmental science and related fields
  • Train students in environmental assessment, monitoring, and management
  • Develop skills for careers in environmental protection, sustainability, and policy

2. Research and Innovation

  • Conduct research on environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, biodiversity, and resource management
  • Develop sustainable solutions and technologies
  • Provide scientific data to support environmental decision-making

3. Environmental Monitoring and Assessment

  • Monitor air, water, soil, and ecosystem health
  • Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
  • Analyze environmental risks and trends

4. Advisory and Policy Support

  • Advise government, industry, and communities on environmental management
  • Support development of environmental policies, regulations, and standards
