Welcome to Hosanna College of Education Registrar Office!

The Hosanna College of Education office of Registrar, comprising of thirteen units is dedicated primarily to serve departments and students by providing services of scheduling, registration, record keeping and reporting. The office supervises student registration, maintains student academic records and record grades, issue academic transcripts and diplomas, authenticate enrollment and graduation, assigns classrooms and administers the issuing, renewing and replacing of the students’ identification cards. 

In general, our registrar has the following roles; 

• Recruitment and registration of students according to the prepared plan of the College; 

• Keeping academic records of students appropriately and systematically; 

• Receiving admission applications to the College and submitting these to the concerned Departments; 

• Provision of student transcripts and credentials; 

• Issuing, renewing and replacing, identification cards; and 

• Preparing list of students recommended for graduation and submits to the Academic Commission for approval. 

The nine units under the Registrar office are:-

• First Language Development: Department Hadiyyisa, department Halabissa, department Siltigna, department Kambatissa, department Libixis, department Yemissa, department Xambarisa, Department  Guragigna.

• Department of Professional Science: Department curriculum, department special needs education, department psychology, department educational planning and management.

• Department of social science 

• Department of moral education, 

• department of citizenship education, 

• Department of pre-primary education 

• Department of mathematics and 

• Department of English. 

• Department of Federal Languages 

• Department of Career and Technical Education 

• Department of Performing and Visual Arts 

• Department of ICT 

• Department of Pre-Primary Education

Hosanna College of Education offers a variety of undergraduate Diploma, and Certificate programs. 

Admission

Each semester existing students are required to register for classes for the next semester. The registration is held in the respective Department/Registrar office of students’ Affairs. 

To register for classes, students should collect three copies of registration slips from the respective department/online smis system and complete the required information and get them signed by the head of the department/school and submit one copy of the slip to the respective Department/Registrar office of students’ Affairs and one copy to the College office of the registrar.
