The General Science Department at Hossana College of Education is a center for pedagogical and scientific excellence, dedicated to producing the next generation of highly skilled science educators. Operating under the current Ethiopian teacher education reform, the department provides an integrated curriculum of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. By bridging theoretical scientific principles with Competency-Based Learning (CBL) and STEAM methodologies, the department ensures that graduates are equipped to handle the demands of 21st-century classrooms and contribute to the nation’s industrial and technological growth.
