Performing & Visual Art Department
Overview
Performing & visual art forms presented live to an audience, involving the performer's body, voice, or presence in time and space. Theater, music (vocal/instrumental), dance, opera, circus arts, mime, spoken word, puppetry, performance art. Its nature is dynamic, ephemeral, creating immediate connection or storytelling through action, sound, and movement.
Visual art forms created as physical objects or visual representations for aesthetic experience. Its disciplines are Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, architecture, conceptual art. Performing arts theatrical arts are temporal (happen over time), while visual arts are generally static. While the interpretation way of Performing arts & theatrical art use the body/voice; visual arts use physical materials (paint, clay, etc.).
Accordingly, PVA department drives college PVA trainers support with facilities, technical and professional activities, & creativity development. PVA Technical support, practical and theoretical concept. To this end, the college recognizes PVA as a powerful enabling tool for institutional change and transformation to attain its stretched strategic goals and initiatives, missions and vision.

Our mission is to provide, technical, and professional service the use of PVA in all activities of the college in order to facilitate the upcoming change.

Our vision is to developing the trainers or student teachers of performing & visual art supporting the college in overall process by come up the excellence of quality, confidential, active & competent teacher in the county.
Objectives
The PVA department is organized to meet the following objectives:
To plan, develop and manage the department teaching &learning in college with PVA infrastructure.
To develop/acquire relevant skill & knowledge of learners.
To manage students practical and performance of resources.
To train skillful &creative & competent students in the country.
To promote staff development program to ensure that staff continue to acquire the necessary skills to provide community services and support students.
To carry out researches in PVA and enhance community service. To promote students result by relevant &life long way.
Services/ Facilities
Instrument practice keyboard violin.
Practicing local instruments like, kirar, masinqo & kebero.
Displaying art exhibition or art gallery and moving pictures.
Practice painting, drawing and making sculpture.
Providing theatrical stages &practice.
