Welcome to Hosaena College of education 

Hossana College of Education, located in the Hadiya Zone of Region of Central Ethiopia (230 km from Addis Ababa), is playing an increasingly vital role in teacher education by representing the development of demonstrably capacitated teachers and the broader educational landscape. The college provides degree, diploma, and certificate programs to over 1,500 students per year from various zones and special weredas, adhering to Ministry of Education standards. It offers training in multiple fields, including vernacular languages such as Hadiyisa, Kambatisa, Siltigna, Halabisa, Yemmisa, Tambarise, Libitiso, and Guragigna.

Beyond teaching, the college is actively engaged in research, conducting over 10 studies annually, some published internationally. It also offers community-oriented services through on-the-job training, a model pre-primary school, ICT centers, a digital library, modern laboratories, and centers for special needs, music, sport, and art design.

A vibrant hub of innovation and diversity, Hossana College emphasizes transparency, ethical practice, and sustainability. It collaborates with governmental and non-governmental partners to enhance education, community service, and research—aspiring to become a Center of Excellence in education for the region and the nation.
