Position:- Vice Dean and Teachers and Educational Leaders Development and Administration Core Process
The sector emphasizes basic knowledge and professional code of ethics, methodology and practical trainings.
The objectives nurture the elements and values incorporated in the education policy of the nation as well as basic principles stated on the colleges proclamation number 74/1996 E.C. of the region.
To this effect, Hossana College of Teachers’ Education Aims:
- To prepare primary school teachers and Educational Leaders who will be able to attain the objectives of the Education and Training Policy and the strategies contained within the National Teachers Development Program (TDP);
- To produce primary school teachers and Educational Leaders who are academically qualified, professionally skilled, attitudinal and ethically committed to their profession;
- To establish a system and culture of continuous teacher and Educational Leadership development program from per-service to in-service education and training using diverse modes of delivery;
4. To conduct and disseminate Educational scientific researches aimed at improving the educational system and knowledge expansion.
5. To Produce professionally responsible and dependable teachers and Educational Leaders aware of their constitutional rights and obligations, their social responsibilities and equity in gender, nationalities and urban-rural settings;
6. To produces, teaching materials / course modules relevant to the various Courses offered in different programs.
7. To deliver professional support and training for quality implementation of every primary and Secondary education endeavors and initiatives within the region;
8. To establish strong endeavors and initiatives in order to deliver service to the community; to other educational institutions; to all stakeholders within the education system; and elsewhere as appropriate.
9. Assess the Impact of the Education and training programs of the college in the region and improve its training programs based on the findings of the assessment.
